RavishinG Rho Gamma History

In the spring of 2004, a group of young women at Texas Southern University felt the need to bring Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority Inc. to campus. Knowing that Texas Southern University is a Historically Black College/University these ladies were in for a challenge. However, they were willing to work vigorously to establish a Chapter of Sigma Lambda Gamma Sorority in order to promote the empowerment of Latinas and women of all cultures at TSU. Once established, the organization would be the first Latina-based, multicultural sorority on campus.

After a long process and the help of sisters from other chapters, the women recieved colony status on May 10, 2005.

With the help of our beautiful founders Lorena Fajardo, Erica Flores, Esperanza Sidoa, Leslie Clemente, Diana Barba, Mary Govea, Lizette Ramirez, Leticia Mendez, and Stephanie Lopez RavishinG Rho Gamma Chapter of Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority Inc. was recognized at Texas Southern University on March 3, 2007.
